How do I register for a CRE8 Workshop or class?

Easy! Just click on the calendar date showing the picture of what you want to make and fill in the information requested in our safe and secure server. Once we receive your registration, we will call you for payment.

What do I need to bring ?

Just yourself and your imagination. We supply all the materials needed for workshops. At private party events, CRE8 Workshop supplies all crafting tools and materials, you bring the food and paper goods.

What do I need to wear?

We will have CRE8 aprons available in both child and adult sizes but if you sign up for a particularly messy class, wear something that you won’t be upset about messing up if your apron does not cover all areas of your body.

Can I bring my own beverages?

You are welcome to bring your nonalcoholic beverages to drink while you work. We prefer if you use a reusable covered cup as the environment is very important to us and we do not want to risk spills on your work in progress. According to the Village of Deerfield, we will be permitted to sell limited wine and beer to legal age adults during adult parties and workshops. Village laws do not allow BYOB.

Can I have food at my party?

Yes, you are welcome to bring cake or treats for any private party or event. You can even cater an entire meal if you so desire. Just be sure to let us know if you are bringing anything more than cake so we can be sure we have an appropriate and clean area available and prepared for your food to be set up.

Where do I park?

We are located in Deerfield Park Plaza which has a very large FREE parking lot.

Is CRE8 Workshop handicap accessible?

Absolutely! There is an elevator located behind the stairs that brings you a few steps from our door. We have a brand new accessible bathroom, and can even offer workshops in sign language for the hearing impaired.

Do you offer fundraisers?

Yes, set up a CRE8 party for your not-for profit organization and CRE8 Workshop will donate back $10 for each person who attends the event (no coupons or other discounts will be accepted). The number of fundraisers offered each month will be limited so schedule yours with plenty of advance notice.

What if I do not know how to craft or I have no artistic talent?

Our skilled CRE8-ors will guide you step by step through the project. You will have some options regarding colors and materials depending on the project, but rest assured, there is a hidden creative gene in everyone and we promise you will leave with a finished product you can be proud of.

What is “Open CRE8-tion” time?

These are the hours that we will be open for you to drop by and work on any project you want. Come on in and spread out on one of our tables. Our skilled CRE8-ors will be happy to answer your questions or assist you, however no guided project instruction will be provided during drop in hours unless previously arranged. The Open CRE8-tion Time fee of $10 includes use of all the equipment and tools in our space including markers, glue, punches, Cricut and Cameo cutting machines and cartridges, hand tools, etc. Our retail craft area stocks many different materials you may need for your project such as papers or posterboards, lamination, copies, game making pieces, photo prints or binding supplies..

Can I bring my own materials and supplies?

You may bring your own supplies during Open CRE8-tion times. Feel free to bring your project in process and all the materials you need to work on your project. Spread out in our 2000 sq. ft. space and let the mess be on us and not in your house. You can purchase some supplies right in our CRE8 retail section. For recycled crafting and repurposing workshops, we may offer a discount if you bring in items for the project to use or share. We will let you know when this option is available. For Workshops and Classes, we will be happy to provide all the materials you need.

Are there restaurants nearby?

Yes! Right in the same plaza (you can park once) you will find Boston Blackies, Thai Thai, Cookers Hot Dogs and Abruzzo. There are many other options nearby in Deerfield as well.

What if I have a project I want to make but it is not on the CRE8 Workshop calendar?

Bring it on! Send us an email, Facebook message, Pinterest link, or picture of what you want to make and we will do our best to find a great CRE8-or to offer the project as a workshop. If you are the expert on the project, feel free to talk to Donna about setting up a time for you to be the Guest CRE8-or and offer a workshop to teach your special skill or project. We are always excited to learn new crafts.

What kind of CRE8-ive projects can we do at a private party?

There are many options in our gallery(we have only just begun to CRE8 our samples) for you to choose from. If you have something in mind that you do not see in our gallery, just ask. It may be that we have just not gotten a picture of that idea yet. We will be happy to research your idea and if we can, we will be happy to offer it as an option for your party.

What is the cancellation policy?

If you are registered for a workshop and cancel at least 48 hours before the workshop, we will gladly refund your payment. If you cancel less than 48 hours in advance, you may apply your payment to a future workshop registration.

Parties cancelled 2 weeks or more before the party date will be fully refunded. If your party is cancelled less than 2 weeks before the party date, we will gladly apply your deposit to a future party or workshop at CRE8 Workshop.
