Daniela Torres Diaz

PhD Candidate in Biology, Aberystwyth University

Daniela graduated from the Universidad de los Andes in Bogotá, Colombia with a BSc in Biology before completing her MSc in Marine Biology with a distinction at Bangor University, United Kingdom. She is interested in the effects of anthropogenic activities on the environment and changes in animal behaviour. In her thesis, she studied the effects of artificial light at night (ALAN) on the migration of a coastal crustacean. Her PhD research will expand into understanding ALAN impacts on clocks and circadian rhythms by investigating molecular, developmental and behavioural questions.
