Jasleen Chana

I am a PhD candidate at UCL in the department of Science and Technology Studies. My research sits on the intersection between science and literature, with a specific focus on the written memoirs of contemporary scientists. Through textual analysis, I explore how scientists negotiate ways of communicating images of the scientist through their works.

I am currently focussing on the written memoirs of contemporary women NASA astronauts, examining how they work intertextually to rewrite stereotypes of their discipline.
