Dr. Nassar is a Research Scientist at Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC) and an adjunct professor in the the Department of Physics at the University of Toronto. He completed his Ph.D. at the University of Waterloo (2006), followed by postdoctoral studies at Harvard University (2006-2008) and the University of Toronto (2008-2010) and joined ECCC in 2010. His primary research focus is the application of satellite observations of greenhouse gases for understanding sources and sinks. He is the principal investigator for the proposed Arctic Observing Mission (AOM) satellite mission concept undergoing studies jointly led by ECCC and the Canadian Space Agency (CSA).
