I am a computational geoscientist passionate about all matters magma. With my research group I develop and employ computational models of physical and chemical processes in magmatic and volcanic systems from source to surface. My research ranges from the planetary to the volcano scale, and from deep geological time to the present day, focusing on diverse problems including planetary differentiation, crust formation, and volatile and heat fluxes, magmatism coupled to plate tectonics, the dynamics of crustal magma reservoirs and volcano plumbing systems, and magmatic and hydrothermal metal ore genesis.
