CBS' Big Bang Theory Ending in 2019
CBS' long-running Big Bang Theory will end in May 2019 with the culmination of its twelfth season.
"We are forever grateful to our fans for their support of the Big Bang Theory during the past twelve seasons," said Warner Bros. Television, CBS and Chuck Lorre Productions in a joint statement. "We, along with the cast, writers and crew, are extremely appreciative of the show’s success and aim to deliver a final season, and series finale, that will bring the Big Bang Theory to an epic creative close."
Including its final season, Big Bang Theory will have run for 279 episodes.
Big Bang Theory's final season is scheduled to begin with a special episode Monday, September 24 before moving back to its regular Thursday timeslot on September 27.
